GIA to present DiamondCheck machine to LDB during Industry Seminar – 22nd May 2014

The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is to present the much anticipated DiamondCheck machine to the London Diamond Bourse (LDB) during a seminar for both members of the exclusive trading floor and known industry professionals.

The opportunity to host this event has come around through the LDB’s affiliation with the World Federation of Diamond Bourses and the LDB are very proud to have been selected by the GIA to be their preferred stage for the UK launch of their brand new ‘DiamondCheck’ machine.

The industry is in agreement that there are two critical elements when it comes to synthetics: detection and disclosure. The DiamondCheck technology will help prevent synthetic diamonds from entering the market as natural diamonds through easier detection and help maintain consumer confidence, which is an urgent requirement to the industry worldwide.

The seminar will take place on the 22nd May 2014 at 3pm, with guest speakers Mr Tom Moses (GIA Exec VP) & Dr Ulrika D’Haenens-Johansson (Research Scientist). The presentation will last approximately an hour with a Q/A session thereafter.

Due to the national importance of this event and in an unprecedented move, the LDB is inviting those who would like to attend the seminar to register their interest by emailing info@londondiamondbourse.com. Space is limited – places at the event will be given on a first come/first served basis and are subject to our full and strenuous security procedures.
